\"\"<\/a>World Boxing Organization (WBO) super bantamweight champion was honored today by the WBO for his achievements and got the 122lb belt he won on May 7 in Las Vegas. Arce (57-6-2, 44KOs), who beat last May 7 former champion Wilfredo Vazuqez Jr. by a 12 round TKO, to gain his third WBO crown (108, 115 and 122 pounds). \u201cWe are very proud of pay this tribute to Arce, a good boxer, a good person and a good champion. We give this belt and this diamond ring for his three titles here with the WBO,\u201d WBO President Francisco \u201cPaco\u201d Valcarcel said in the event was made at the Restaurante El Zipperle in Hato Rey, San Juan, Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

Arce was grateful for the tribute and was happy for all the people in the restaurant, who supported the Mexican gladiator today.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank this people of Puerto Rico for this tribute. This is an island with a lot of great fighters like Juanma Lopez, Wilfredo Vazquez Jr., my friend Ivan Calderon, a pretty island, where I want to train some day here\u201d, Arce said. \u201cThis is the country, also, of one of my great idols in boxing, Felix \u2018Tito\u2019 Trinidad, one of the best boxers\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the tribute there were former world champions Juan Manuel \u201cJuanma\u201d L\u00f3pez, Iv\u00e1n \u201cIron Boy\u201d Calder\u00f3n, Wilfredo V\u00e1zquez Jr., \u00c1lex \u201cEl Nene\u201d S\u00e1nchez, Alfredo \u201cSalsero\u201d Escalera, Wilfredo \u201cWi\u201d V\u00e1zquez and V\u00edctor \u201cLuvi\u201d Callejas, also prospects like Jos\u00e9 \u201cChelo\u201d Gonz\u00e1lez, Jonathan \u201cPolvo\u201d Oquendo, Luis \u201cEl Artesano\u201d Cruz, Jayson \u201cLa Maravilla\u201d V\u00e9lez, C\u00e9sar Seda Jr., Juan Mercedes, V\u00edctor Bisbal, y los prospectos Eliezer \u201cWaa\u201d Gonz\u00e1lez, McWilliams Arroyo, McJoe Arroyo, Camilo P\u00e9rez and Jonathan \u201cBomba\u201d Gonz\u00e1lez; promoters F\u00e9lix \u201cTutico\u201d Zabala (All Star Boxing), Iv\u00e1n and Peter Rivera (PR Best Boxing Promotions), and Manuel \u201cQuique\u201d Rom\u00e1n (Universal Promotions).<\/p>\n

There were Senators Norma Burgos and Ramon Diaz, and Representative David Bonilla. From the WBO Alberto Rodriguez, Vicepresident of Championship Comitee, Luis Perez, Chairman of Ratings Comitee, and referees Roberto Ramirez Jr. and Sr., and judges Carlos Col\u00f3n, Nelson V\u00e1zquez, C\u00e9sar Ramos, Jos\u00e9 Roberto Torres and Hernando Steidel.<\/p>\n
