The Casey Anthony trial enters the fourth week. Stephen Shaw, hair expert, testified today that the hair found in the trunk of the car matched hair taken from the skull of young Caylee Anthony. This is another large blow to the defense.<\/p>\n

Casey Anthony sat stone-faced and watched on as Shaw testified. Her cold demeanor has been the focus of much of the public. Some of that changed when she fell apart emotionally twice when photographs of her daughter\u2019s skeletal remains were presented. At one point, she fell ill and the day came to its end to allow her to recoup. <\/p>\n

Thus far, all experts for the prosecution have presented a very strong case for the contention that Casey killed her young daughter and placed her body in her trunk, later dropping her in the woods nearby the Anthony home. The odor in the trunk was deemed to be that of human decomposition, the hair found in the trunk was linked to Caylee and proven to be from a dead child, the cadaver dogs detected death, and numerous witnesses that encountered the smell testified that it was the smell of a decomposing body.<\/p>\n

The defense has a lot of big hurdles to jump, including the fact that Casey has been lying consistently since the investigation began.<\/p>\n
