The Casey Anthony trial has captured the imagination of the public and we are currently in the fourth week of testimony. The Prosecution is ready to rest and they have an air tight case it seems.<\/p>\n

The cold demeanor of the accused has had an effect on the public. When Cindy, her mother, began sobbing loudly as the 911 recording played, the reaction from Casey was not there. She was stone-faced. She didn\u2019t get emotional until the pictures of the skeletal remains of young Caylee were presented. <\/p>\n

The Prosecution focused on the trunk and the \u201csmell of death\u201d that was present. They presented hair, air, and insect experts, giving their testimony supporting the contention that young Caylee was killed and placed in the trunk. Police detectives and experts have both placed young Caylee in that vehicle.<\/p>\n

The history of lies has also been a focus for the Prosecution. Casey, not reporting her daughter missing for 31 days, and then manufacturing the story of a nanny kidnapping her, and some bad people having Caylee has hurt her credibility. The defense\u2019s hope that they should shift focus to Casey\u2019s father, George, has failed so far. Casey has told the story of George covering up the accidental death of Caylee and also being a molester. Not too many people have bought into this story.<\/p>\n

Casey seems very cold and her behavior before, during, and after the investigation have hurt her immensely. She appears to be a sociopath.<\/p>\n
