Hamburg based Boxing Promoter Universum steps into the future with new business partners. On a press conference in the \u201cDima\u201d Sports Center in Hamburg Dima\u2019s director Waldemar Kluch was introduced as future member of the Universum directory. Kluch is the representative of a multi billion group of investors who will guarantee to Universum the financial scope to act as global player again. \u201cWe will introduce the group of investors and present our detailed concept in August. It was most important for us to keep Universum in Hamburg. All doors will be open again for us in the future. Our common goal is to have a world champion in each weight class,\u201d Kluch said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to the investors, who dispose of good connections in the international TV market, Universum will be in the position to participate in submit purse bids for any fight worldwide, which we might be interested in\u201d said Kohl. \u201cWe will contract new boxers and offer first class boxing matches.\u201d
\nThe Dima Sports Center, founded in 1996 as a tennis center on a surface of 14.500 square metres, will be the new training center for the boxers. The gym will have a surface of 2,500 square metres and, subject to being approved, will also serve as event arena.<\/p>\n

The inauguration is scheduled for August 20 and the fight card will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dima Sports Center offers the highest possible comfort for our boxers, you will not find any better worldwide,\u201d said Kohl. \u201cEnd of June Universum will shut down the old gym in Hamburg.\u201dThere was tremendous heart and soul in our old gym, but we wanted to start something new and offer to our boxers up-to-date training facilities\u201d Kohl continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cApart from the main gym, there will be a 700 square metre room for sparring in private. Also, our currently 15 boxers will have a spacious spa and exercise room at their disposal.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
