He was 96.<\/p>\n<p>He won the Oscar for \u201cGandhi\u201d, and was also nominated for \u201cWomen in Love\u201d and \u201cOn Golden Pond\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Other movies he helmed as director of photography were \u201cThe Wind and the Lion\u201d, \u201cThe Exorcist\u201d, \u201cGoing in Style\u201d, \u201cSuspect\u201d, and \u201cSunday Bloody Sunday\u201d.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Billy Williams was born on 3 June, 1929 in Walthamstow, London.
