He died of cardiac arrest at home in Malibu on Thursday, 3 July, at the age of 67.<\/p>\n<p>I loved this guy.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times was absolutely spot on yesterday when they said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had the air of a throwback actor, a timeless Hollywood heavy who seemed to have stepped out of a 1940s film noir.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>His sister Virginia Madsen wrote in a statement:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was thunder and velvet. Mischief wrapped in tenderness. A poet disguised as an outlaw. A father, a son, a brother &#8211; etched in contradiction, tempered by love that left its mark.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Michael was best known for his frequent collaboration with Quentin Tarantino, appearing in \u201cReservoir Dogs\u201d, \u201cKill Bill\u201d, \u201cKill Bill: Vol 2\u201d, \u201cThe Hateful Eight\u201d and \u201cOnce Upon a Time in\u2026 Hollywood\u201d.<br \/>\nOther charismatic roles were in \u201cDonnie Brasco\u201d, \u201cThe Doors\u201d, \u201cThelma &amp; Louise\u201d, \u201cFree Willy\u201d, \u201cWyatt Earp\u201d, \u201cMulholland Falls\u201d, \u201cSin City\u201d, \u201cStrength and Honor\u201d for which he won Best Actor at the Boston Film Festival and the New York International Independent Film &amp; Video Festival.<\/p>\n<p>During a career spanning four decades, Michael didn\u2019t shy away from TV roles: \u201cSt. Elsewhere\u201d, \u201cCagney &amp; Lacey\u201d, \u201cMiami Vice\u201d, \u201cCrime Story\u201d, \u201cCSI: Miami\u201d, \u201c24\u201d, and \u201cPowers\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Michael S\u00f8ren Madsen was born on 25 September, 1957 in Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his mother, sisters Virginia and Cheryl, his third wife, DeAnna and his children, Christian, Max, Kal and Luke.<\/p>\n<p>Michael was one of the most intense and compelling actors with an electrifying presence both on and off the screen, he had a rugged charm and that twinkle in his eyes.<br \/>\nHe will be sorely missed.<\/p>\n<p>Ringside Report sends their condolences tot he Madsen Family in their time of grief.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;
