He was 96.<\/p>\n<p>He spent decades behind the scenes of Broadway productions before turning to acting in his 60s: he had 53 Broadway productions to his name \u2014 all behind the scenes, serving as a stage manager, producer or director and working with the likes of Marlene Dietrich, Julie Andrews and Richard Burton.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>He also played law partner Howard Lyman in \u201cThe Good Wife\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>His cousin was the legendary acting teacher Stella Adler.<\/p>\n<p>Adler published a memoir, \u201cToo Funny for Words: Backstage Tales from Broadway, Television and the Movies,\u201d last year.<br \/>\nHe is survived by his four daughters.<\/p>\n<p>Ringside Report sends their condolences to the Adler Family in their time of grief.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nIihdr_ozxc?si=LvMklNaa0lDsoJn1\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;
