He was 82.<\/p>\n<p>The series was produced by Glen A. Larson and aired on NBC for two seasons. It starred Gil Gerard as Captain William &#8220;Buck&#8221; Rogers, Erin Gray as Colonel Wilma Deering and then there was Twiki the jive-talking robot who was voiced by Mel Blanc.<\/p>\n<p>Pre-Buck Rogers, Gerard played Dr. Alan Stewart on more that 300 episodes of NBC\u2019s The Doctors.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Other TV credits included \u201cE.A.R.T.H. Force\u201d (1990) and \u201cDays of Our Lives\u201d in 1997.<br \/>\nHe starred as Bergen Paulsen opposite Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling in \u201cThe Nice Guys\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Gil Gerard is survived by his wife Janet and son Gib.<\/p>\n<p>Ringside Report sends their condolences to The Gerard Family in their time of grief.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;
