The street fighter that made his way into the mainstream through his Youtube exploits, brought in a great deal of fans when he became an MMA combatant. He was matched against mediocre opposition, old men, and has beens, but it was a formula to achieve success in the cage and it worked like a charm. Slice has charisma and he always attracts a crowd, even if his skills don\u2019t merit it. <\/p>\n

Slice attempted to make a move into the UFC, but his lack of world class skills was exposed and it was back to the drawing board. The new plan of attack is to enter the world of pugilism and he\u2019s had two fights thus far and both ended in first round knockouts. Don\u2019t get too excited yet about the future of Slice. His boxing opposition has been terrible, even when compared to his MMA opponents of the past.<\/p>\n

Slice, 2-0, 2 KO\u2019s, is 37 years old and doesn\u2019t seem to possess much defense in the boxing ring. He can hunt down mediocrities forever and chop them down in less than 3 minutes every time. Butterbean made a career out of fighting the boxing losers, but the Slice plan is probably different.<\/p>\n

We will see Slice continue to batter the no-hopers for a year or two, bringing him to a record of 15-0 or so, and then we will see that step up, a notable boxer without anything left, and after he overcomes him, if he makes it that far, he could secure a title shot in a bout that he is sure to lose.<\/p>\n

Boxing is in such bad shape that any charismatic figure is welcomed with open arms. Slice is old, limited, and will be exposed quickly by any fighter in the top 30, but he is already generating excitement and could add something to the sport over time.<\/p>\n
