\"\"<\/a>Sensational Light Middleweight prospect Erick \u2018The Eagle\u2019 Ochieng looks set to challenge for his first Championship title this coming Wednesday, at the Matchroom Sport promoted \u2018Battle of Essex\u2019 event at York Hall in Bethnal Green.<\/p>\n

Late last week Erick\u2019s manager\/coach Brian Lawrence was informed that Erick will be fighting for the English Light Middleweight title, should a suitable opponent be available. Erick\u2019s response to the news was to instantly step up his training schedule with additional sparring rounds to ensure he was ready for the increase from the scheduled six to a Championship ten rounder.<\/p>\n

Following a grueling training session, at the TRAD TKO Boxing Gym in Canning Town, a beaming Erick said, \u201cYeah, I\u2019m fighting on Wednesday, hopefully it\u2019s still the title fight, the English title fight.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t know who I\u2019m fighting yet, we\u2019re waiting for them (BBBofC) to confirm the opponent.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been training hard so I\u2019m not worried who they get me to fight on the night, all I know is I\u2019m going to be winning.\u00f6<\/p>\n

Erick \u2018The Eagle\u2019 Ochieng, against a yet to be named opponent will feature on the undercard of Lee Purdy\u2019s British title defense against Erick\u2019s TRAD TKO gym mate Colin Lynes at York Hall in Bethnal Green this coming Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Chief support for the Purdy-Lynes British Welterweight title clash on the 9th November sees Ashley Sexton defend his English Flyweight title, against a yet to be named opponent.<\/p>\n

Supporting the two Championship bouts is an undercard chock a block with the most exciting young talents in the country today, including the supremely talented Light Welter Chris Evangelou, the formidable Middleweight John Ryder, rising welterweight star Tyler Goodjohn and making his second pro appearance Upminster Lightweight Ryan Taylor.<\/p>\n

Lee \u2018Lights Out\u2019 Purdy versus Colin Lynes for the British Welterweight title tops the bill for the Matchroom Sport promoted \u2018Battle of Essex\u2019 event at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London on Wednesday 9th November 2011, as well as live on Skysports.<\/p>\n
