To most observers, Cotto gave a valiant performance but a losing one. The final judges\u2019 scorecards had Floyd winning by scores of 118-110 and 117-111 (twice).<\/p>\n<p>Although the scorecards were heavily in favor of Floyd (RSR had it 116-112 for Floyd), the fight was competitive and Cotto did do damage, bloodying the nose and mouth of \u201cMoney Mayweather,\u201d but it didn\u2019t appear to be enough. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Cotto\u2019s legal advisor, Gabriel Penagaricano stated that Cotto believes \u201che won\u201d the fight and that \u201cthe (way that the) judges saw the fight is an insult to the reality of what happened there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miguel Cotto gave a great performance and did manage to win some rounds.
