The closing arguments are set for today.<\/p>\n<p>Layne does not deny shooting her grandson, Jonathan Hoffman, but claims that it was in self-defense. The defense is that Hoffman had a history of drug use and brought dangerous people in and around the home, forcing the grandmother to arm herself.
