A capacity crowd of well-over 1,000 people filled Washington, D.C.\u2019s historic Howard Theatre on Tuesday for the second stop of the unprecedented 11-city, two-country media tour for \u201cTHE ONE: MAYWEATHER VS. CANELO.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eight-Time, Five-Division World Champion Floyd \u201cMoney\u201d Mayweather and Super Welterweight World Champion Canelo Alvarez are in the midst of their nine-day tour to discuss their Saturday, September 14 mega-fight from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, live on SHOWTIME PPV\u00ae.<\/p>\n

Mayweather showed his appreciation for his strong following in D.C., signing autographs for over two hours and posing for pictures with fans.<\/p>\n

Tickets priced at $2,000, $1,500, $1,000, $600 and $350, not including applicable service charges and taxes, with a total ticket limit of 12 per person (a limit of 10 per person at the $2,000, $1,500, $1,000 and $600 price levels and a limit of two [2] per person at the $350 price level), are on sale now. \u201cD.C. is a fight town. It\u2019s been so kind to me in my career. The fans have supported me here since I turned pro and today\u2019s turnout was nothing different<\/p>\n

\u201cCanelo is a young, strong champ. It\u2019s obvious he\u2019s done something right to get to this level. He\u2019s a guy I know I can\u2019t overlook. When guys face Floyd Mayweather it\u2019s a total different level. I\u2019m pretty sure he\u2019ll be in tip-top condition. I need to go out there and be at my best and stick to the game plan.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be the best you have to fight the best and Canelo is one of the best fighters out there at this particular time. That\u2019s why this fight is called \u2018THE ONE.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything is different\u2026big name, clever fighter. It\u2019s the best fighter, the best venue, the best network. Austin Trout was a good fighter, but this is different. You can see with everyone here with the fans and the media. It\u2019s not just a fight, but a big event.<\/p>\n
