Mayweather would run away with the fight, but the decision was strange. He would only walk away with a majority decision by scores of 114-114, 116-112 and 117-111. The draw was laughable. The puzzling style of Mayweather, JR., still baffles the opposition and Canelo tried mightily but he couldn\u2019t catch him without any regularity. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Alvarez was frustrated early on and was urged to fight the second half and \u201cwin rounds,\u201d but he couldn\u2019t figure out the style, often trying to bait Floyd into exchanges, but he wasn\u2019t quick enough to make it happen. The frustration grew as the rounds went on and Alvarez nearly seemed content with the idea that he could not win. He did some good things to the body of Mayweather but there was never a moment in the fight where he had Floyd in any sort of trouble.<\/p>\n<p>There aren\u2019t many fighters that Floyd can fight right now that would pose a real threat.
