When we think back, there are so many memorable moments which highlight boxers as some of the best the world has seen.\u00a0 A number of these are Islamic and they will be discussed in this article.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Muhammad Ali<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Probably the most popular fighter in boxing history, Muhammad Ali was born as Cassius Clay. He changed his name to Mohammed Ali in the mid-sixties before converting to Sunni Islam in 1975.<\/p>\n<p>He was known for his unorthodox style of boxing.\u00a0 The speed of his hand and body movement was paralleled by no other and he was one of the most graceful boxers to play the sport.\u00a0 His famous quote, \u201cFloat like a butterfly, sting like a bee\u201d, from the run up to his fight against Sonny Liston, is still recalled around the world today.\u00a0 This pre-fight fighting talk was not a rare occasion for Ali, who was almost as active with his mouth as he was with his hands.\u00a0 He was well known for \u2018trash-talking\u2019 top opponents before fights, although his taunting was never meant with malice.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/?p=31605 \"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-31608\" style=\"margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;\" title=\"image002\" src=\"http:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/image002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a>Naseem Hamed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Widely known as Prince Naseem, Hamed was undeniably one of the most entertaining and colourful fighters in boxing history.\u00a0 The world-class talent first began boxing at the age of seven and played his first professional match at 18 years old.<\/p>\n<p>He was most well-known for his dramatic entrances to the ring. He would regularly do a forward somersault off the ropes then entering a fight as well as numerous other spectacular entrances.\u00a0 He has been seen entering the ring on a flying carpet, in a Chevrolet Impala and in a re-enactment of Michael Jackson\u2019s Thriller video.<\/p>\n<p>Like Ali, Prince Naseem was known for his unconventional way of fighting.\u00a0 His versatile style allowed him to fight with his hands down and throw knockout punches from almost any angle.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/?p=31605 \"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-31609\" style=\"margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;\" title=\"image003\" src=\"http:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/image003.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"314\" height=\"176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/image003.jpg 314w, https:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/image003-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 314px) 100vw, 314px\" \/><\/a>Mike Tyson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mike Tyson is a former heavyweight world champion and one of the best boxers in the history of the sport.\u00a0 He still holds the record as the youngest boxer to win the WBA, IBF and WBC heavyweight titles at just 20 years old.<\/p>\n<p>In 2002, Tyson fought against Lennox Lewis for the world heavyweight title and was beaten by knockout.
