Let me tell you something brother. I\u2019m going to be there front row man when the Undertaker takes on Sting or Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30. The Dead Man is still drawing the crowd brother and with good reason, but I have been getting hammered by my masked maniacs and they want to know just why the Taker has made it and so many other big men never have. Well, brother, you asked for it and now I\u2019m going to bring it. This is a list of some big men and gimmicks that faded away brother and some that nearly never made it. <\/p>\n

1 -Nailz<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 The WWE had this idea man. They were going to bring in a former inmate that the Big Boss Man abused in prison, but the problem was that Nailz sucked brother. Or maybe the problem was that he didn\u2019t suck if you talk to Vinnie Mac man. Nailz says that he didn\u2019t want to play with McMahon\u2019s nightstick and that\u2019s why he never went anywhere, but he wasn\u2019t a very good wrestler brother.<\/p>\n

2- Berzerker<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Another WWE idea was to bring in a Viking man, but the Viking gimmick never caught on. It wasn\u2019t drawing a crowd brother and it wasn\u2019t interesting. John Nord (Berzerker) had some good matches in then AWA man, but the WWE had a lot of bad gimmicks and wasted this talent with this stupid idea brother. He had no chance.<\/p>\n

3- Isaac Yankem\/Fake Diesel<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Glenn Jacobs would eventually turn into the big red monster, Kane, man, but before that, the WWE used and abused him. First, he was Jerry Lawler\u2019s dentist and then he was the fake Diesel. They were setting him up to crash and burn man, but then Kane came around that saved the big man. It\u2019s hard to recover from two bad gimmicks, but he did and thankfully, he\u2019s still around, but there was some doubt brother.<\/p>\n

4- OZ\/Vinnie Vegas<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Before Kevin Nash was Diesel, he was Vinnie Vegas and OZ, two characters that the WCW thought would go over well, but the fans didn\u2019t bite man. Nash found his way in the WWE when he aligned with Shawn Michaels, but there was some doubt brother. He overcame the odds and became one of the biggest stars the sport has seen, but had he stayed with WCW at the time, he probably would have been a few more forgettable characters.<\/p>\n

5- Giant Gonzalez<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 In WCW, they brought in \u201cEl Gigante\u201d, and gave him some futuristic headset man, but he couldn\u2019t work the microphone and couldn\u2019t wrestle brother. He was just big and that is what they tried to sell. Well, the WWE came forward when WCW failed to push him and found out that dressing him up in a body suit and fur didn\u2019t help this abomination either. Giant Gonzalez stunk up every show he was on man.<\/p>\n

6- The Yeti<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 A strange WCW moment was the intro of the Yeti, which really looked like a mummy brother. They took some big oaf that couldn\u2019t move and wrapped him up and announced him as the Yeti, and then he proceeded to dry hump Hulk Hogan man. He dry humped him and then we never saw him again. It\u2019s a good thing man.<\/p>\n

7- Zeus \u2013<\/strong><\/span> When NO HOLDS BARRED became a big deal, they brought in Zeus, a character from the movie, as a real wrestler, but he had no skills and the crowd saw it right away. The idea was to pit Hogan vs. Zeus at Wrestlemania, but that went away quickly when Vinnie Mac realized that the crowd had no interest brother.<\/p>\n

8 \u2013 Tugboat\/Shockmaster\/Typhoon \u2013<\/strong><\/span> Although I love the Shockmaster brother, I have to say that this fat guy stunk up the show man. He came into the WWE on Hogan\u2019s jock and never caught on. They started him as Tugboat and he sucked, made him Typhoon and he blew, and then he was the clumsy Shockmaster man.<\/p>\n

9 \u2013 Uncle Elmer<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 When the WWE was the WWF, we saw the hillbillies invade, including Hillbilly Jim and Cousin Luke. The worst was the immobile, elderly, morbidly obese Uncle Elmer. He was just a fat slob brother. He couldn\u2019t move dude and they tried to make him the good King Kong Bundy man, but it didn\u2019t work. Uncle Elmer was horrible brother!<\/p>\n

10 \u2013 The Great Khali<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Now this big man may not be the worst of the list, but his moves in the ring are limited man. He is imposing, but every time that you see him in action, it\u2019s more of what his opponent is selling than what he\u2019s doing dude. I remember when they had him in training with my brother in the mask, Big Apple, and he was very green, but he didn\u2019t improve like they wanted him to brother.<\/p>\n

Those are just ten of the failed big men and failed gimmicks. I\u2019m glad to see that Nash and Kane were able to rebound man, but the others weren\u2019t so lucky.<\/p>\n
