\"\"<\/a>We’ve known for a while that the Karl Rove-run Crossroads groups knowingly put ads on the air that are misleading, erroneous, and downright false.<\/p>\n

Well on Tuesday, they admitted that their ad is dishonest! I couldn’t believe it either, but they did:<\/p>\n

Politifact Virginia reported that, when asked about the “old claims” that the entire ad is based on, “Nate Hodson, a spokesman for Crossroads GPS said the ad is not claiming that Kaine lobbied for stimulus support for the ants funding or the Kansas statehouse renovations.”<\/p>\n

The nerve of these guys astounds me. They know their attacks are false — but they think that just by plowing millions of dollars in secret money into their false attacks, they can pull the wool over Virginians’ eyes.<\/p>\n

We can’t let them. With your help, we’ll call them out on their baloney and make their strategy backfire.<\/p>\n

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. With polls tied, the other side is getting desperate. They’ve thrown millions of dollars in negative attacks at us. They spent more than $1 million on this most recent ad alone, which is based on recycled assertions that even Crossroads’ spokesman admits are made up!<\/p>\n

But it’s all they’ve got — and as the race heats up, they’ll keep going back to their undisclosed donors again and again for more secret money to fund more ridiculous ads.<\/p>\n
