A killer in the ring, but comical in person.\u201d\u2014Nick Givhan<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThe name may not be a household one yet, but Nick Givhan is putting W\u2019s in the win column and zero L\u2019s in the loss column to make it just that, well known. Givhan is a prospect at welterweight and someone you want to look out for.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: You just had a win over Gilbert Venegas on September 27th. How would you rate your performance?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My performance was a nine. The only reason I rate it a nine was because I left it to the judges, and didn&#8217;t go for the knockout<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: You have been a pro a little over two years now. Is there anything that has surprised you about being in the sport as a professional?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The judging. It feels as though they&#8217;re watching a whole other fight<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: Where do you see yourself in two years when it comes to your boxing caree<\/strong>r?<\/p>\n<p>I see myself as a world title contender.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What type of fighter do you consider yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Crafty. My defense allows me to get my offense off.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: Who is your favorite fighter of all-time and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>James \u201cLights Out\u201d Toney. Because he&#8217;s very tricky, and I like to mimic his style, which is great to have.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What is the greatest fight you have ever seen and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Roy Jones, JR. Vs. James Toney. Every round was action packed. That&#8217;s when boxing was at its best.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What is one thing outside of boxing that you can share that may surprise the readers?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m very comical. A killer in the ring, but comical in person.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: If you could meet one person from anytime in history, who would it be and what would your first question be for them?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Malcolm X. I&#8217;d ask him what kept him disciplined and focused on his mission? Was it something spiritual? Was it his family? What kept him focused?<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: Do you favor a mandatory retirement fund for all boxers and if so, how do you think it can finally be accomplished?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, I do favor it.
