Former UFC middleweight champion and pound for pound king Anderson Silva was reportedly rushed to a hospital Monday morning in Rio de Janeiro, following a training session at X-Gym.<\/p>\n<p>The incident is not expected to jeopardize his anticipated return to the Octagon against Nick Diaz at UFC 183 on Jan. 31 but the news is still worrying.<\/p>\n<p>Silva reportedly felt severe back pain while trying to stand up after jiu-jitsu training. He was rushed to a hospital after he could no longer feel his legs.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Silva was cleared and released from the hospital on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Marcio Tannure, the medical director of the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission, told Combate that Silva suffered from severe lower back pain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe felt a severe pain because of the contracture,\u201d Dr. Tannure said. \u201cIt really hurts a lot, but it won\u2019t change anything in terms of training.
