\"Press<\/a>Klara Svensson (15-1, 5 KOs) gets her second shot at world glory on September 19 when she challenges Marisa Gabriela Nunez (7-5-2) for the IBF Female World Light Welterweight title at the Rosvalla Stora Ishallen at the Nyk\u00f6pings Arenor in Nyk\u00f6ping, Sweden.<\/p>\n

The Malmo-boxer fell short in her attempt to dethrone WBC queen Erica Anabella Farias in May, but having gained valuable experience, Svensson returns with renewed vigour confident of toppling Nunez and claiming boxing\u2019s ultimate prize.
\n<\/p>\n

Svensson\u2019s World title challenge will provide chief support for Erik Skoglund\u2019s IBF Intercontinental Light Heavyweight Championship defence against Oleksandr Cherviak in what promises to be the biggest night for Swedish boxing since 1968.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019I\u2019m really excited to get this opportunity,\u2019\u2019 said Svensson. \u2018\u2019I\u2019m hungrier and more determined than ever. I\u2019m coming back with more experience and even more self-belief. I know I\u2019m capable of beating Nunez, and on September 19, I will become World Champion!<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019The fight against Farias was a great learning experience for me. I\u2019ve taken a lot of positives from that night. The decision didn\u2019t go my way but boxing-wise I felt I had her under control. I just made one mistake, dropping my hands in the fifth-round, and that cost me the fight.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019With a loss, a lot depends on how you lose, and I can take pride in my performance. I gave it my all and I think people saw that. Everyone has been really positive and I\u2019m thankful for their support. I feel like people want me to succeed and that\u2019s gives me even more motivation to win on September 19.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019Nunez is another tough Argentinian \u2013 she actually reminds me a little of Farias. I\u2019ve watched her fights and I know her style. She\u2019s short, compact and comes to fight. I also know she\u2019s not too fast on her feet so if I box smart, use my speed and trust in my boxing ability I\u2019m confident I can beat her.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019It would mean everything to me to become World Champion and to do it at home in Sweden would make it extra special. I\u2019ve not fought in Sweden since I was an amateur and now I\u2019m back challenging for a World title – it\u2019s a dream scenario!\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019There is no one more deserving of a second chance than Klara,\u2019\u2019 said promoter Nisse Sauerland. \u2018\u2019She showed a champion\u2019s heart against Farias, and if it wasn\u2019t for the knock down, I believe we would already be looking at a World Champion. Now she has a chance to right that wrong, and on September 19, I expect Klara to take her place at the top of the female light welterweight division.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
