Oy Vay are you going to hear it today\u2026 I took a little vacation with Sadie to rest my bagels and my back which at 85, is not half as strong as it once was I can tell you that. Anyone who says \u201cOld Age\u201d isn\u2019t a bitch, step right up for a triple kick in your bagels from \u201cBoom Boom\u201d. Lots to talk about, so let me start my column.<\/p>\n

\"TH\"<\/a>Tommy Hearns\u2026<\/strong> At welterweight and super welterweight, he was at his best. He had the power of a light heavyweight, just ask Pipino Cuevas and Roberto Duran to name just a few. I will tell you this right now! Floyd Mayweather, JR. vs Tommy Hearns ends very badly for Mayweather, JR. by 11th round KO.<\/p>\n

Rubin \u201cHurricane\u201d Carter\u2026.<\/strong> First off, that movie was pure bullshit. I think Denzel is a fine actor, but the creative liberties they took, were beyond what should have been allowed for even Hollywood. Carter, was not a nice guy, but in fairness to the cat, he was exciting as hell to watch back in the 60\u2019s.<\/p>\n

GoFundMe\u2026<\/strong> Straight to the point! Can you say modern day begging from a laptop? I find it utterly nauseating that folks use it to raise money for things that in \"GFM\"<\/a>my day, we did something called W-O-R-K!!!! If you got in a bind, your family helped out, but nobody that I ever knew begged. Even hobo\u2019s would rake your leaves, paint or move furniture for money. Today, people use this GoFundMe because they are LAZY!!!!<\/p>\n

I am reminded of an Italian family I grew up around named the Delia\u2019s. Their Great Grandfather and his wife came to America via Ellis Island from Sicily. They worked hard daily, saved up and brought other family members over. In time, they owned a business that did very well, but through hard work, not BEGGING AKA GoFundMe.<\/p>\n

My Pal Al (\u201cBad\u201d Brad\u2019s Father) \u2026<\/strong> With the Republican Debate coming tonight, I have to laugh because Al would always stir things up. He didn\u2019t belong to a party even though he was a registered Democrat. Just to piss off tight ass folks who cannot take a joke, he would be against their candidate even if secretly he was for them.<\/p>\n

In late 67, at the height of Bobby Kennedy\u2019s popularity, Al and I were poolside at the Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach taking the sun in and swimming. All of sudden, a pool boy comes out to Al and says, are you MR Berkwitt? Al, replies \u201cyes\u201d and the pool boy says you have a person to person call from a MR RFK. Al and I proceed to follow the pool boy to the office where the phone was and sitting in the office was none other than Robert F. Kennedy surrounded by a few bodyguards. Al and Bobby hug and Kennedy proceeds to tell Al he needs his support in South Florida to shore up the votes his way. Funny thing, I had no clue Al even knew Bobby! When I asked him, in his irreverent sense of humor, he said, \u201cPacky, we have been friends now for almost 20 years, do I ever stop surprising you at who I am friendly with? Loyalty is everything to me and this is what has endeared so many, such as RFK to me\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Steve<\/a>The Chutzpah Award\u2026<\/strong> The Chutzpah Award is posthumously awarded to the \u201cKing of Cool\u201d Steve McQueen. We lost him at the very young age of 50 back in 1980, but in his almost 30 years in show business, he left a body of a work and personal battles for injustices in America that will stand the test of time. He truly had major bagels!<\/p>\n
