Jason Litzau, 28-2, 21 KO\u2019s, pulled a major upset, outworking Celestino Caballero, 34-3, 23 KO\u2019s, en route to a split decision win by scores of 97-93, 96-94, and 94-96.\u00a0 Litzau, a 13-1 underdog, fought with heart and ambition and kept coming forward, landing the more effective shots and bullying Caballero around the ring.\u00a0 Prior to the fight, Caballero dismissed Litzau and took him very lightly and paid dearly for it.\u00a0 This is a great win for Litzau and it shows why boxing is the best sport in the world.\u00a0 Will over skill was the story of this fight.<\/p>\n

Berto Destroys Overmatched Foe<\/strong><\/p>\n

Andre Berto, 27-0, 21 KO\u2019s, defended his WBC Welterweight Title with the destruction of the completely overmatched (as all Berto opponents are) opponent in Freddy Hernandez, 29-2, 20 KO\u2019s.\u00a0 It happened quickly at 2 minutes 7 seconds of the very first round.\u00a0 Hernandez was brought in to lose and he did his job.\u00a0 HBO and the fans demand more than a Freddy Herrnandez, and if Manny Pacquiao selects him as the next in line, Berto will be making a astronomical jump in class.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Juan Manuel Marquez, 52-5-1, 38 KO\u2019s, survived a scare, climbing off the canvas from a left hook to batter and beat Michael Katsidis, 27-3, 21 KO\u2019s, defending his WBA Super Lightweight Title by ninth round stoppage.\u00a0 It was an all out war from the opening bell with Marquez using his superior skill to outland the always dangerous and motivated Katsidis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As the rounds went on, Katsidis began to tire and Marquez sensed it and put on the pressure, battering him with combinations and vicious uppercuts, convincing the referee to stop it with the gutsy Katsidis on his feet, willing to continue.\u00a0 A great fight!<\/p>\n
