\"12675490-e774-44e7-bd53-0a34ae7c8b70\"<\/a>Undefeated welterweight prospect Steve Weimer will be back in action this Friday night when he squares off with Jose Valderrama in a four-round bout at The Wolf Gym in Weimer’s hometown of York, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

The 26 year-old will be making his third appearance of 2016. He has been kept active since signing with Jeter Promotions.<\/p>\n

“Training has been good. I am just in the process of making weight,”said Weimer on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

In Valderrama, Weimer is facing a veteran, who has faced 11 undefeated opponents.<\/p>\n

“I know Valderrama is from Puerto Rico and my style should be good for this fight. He likes to come forward and I will look to pick my shots.”<\/p>\n

Despite Valderrama’s record of 5-14, Weimer is taking this fight seriously.<\/p>\n

“I train two or three times a day for as much as eight hours. I stay in good shape all the time. I know I am three inches taller than him. I plan to feel him out in round one and then get him out of there. I am ready to get this win and move on to the next fight,”<\/p>\n

Since moving to his new promoter, Weimer has been kept active and feels that big things are in the near future.<\/p>\n

“With Jeter Promotions, I feel that I will get a couple more fights this year and look for something big early next year.””<\/p>\n
