The 25-year old from Ukraine made his professional boxing debut at super welterweight in June of this year with a second round knockout of Steven Chad McKinney in El Monte, California.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As a kickboxer Gogokhia was a Muay Thai-style fighter. His professional career record as was 42-7, 21 KOs*. During his kickboxing career he acquired several accolades. In 2012 he won the WKF World Title and the Tatneft Arena World Cup. Then in 2015 he was a Kunlun Fight World Championship Finalist and won the W5 Intercontinental Championship belt. After nearly six years as a professional kickboxer he has decided to make the transition to boxing.<\/p>\n<p>Enriko will have his first fight under the Main Events&#8217; banner on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 when he faces Even Torres (4-1, 4 KOs) at LA Exchange in Los Angeles, California in a six round bout.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Since I was a kid I always had a dream to become professional boxer,&#8221; said Gogokhia. &#8220;I am so happy to partner with Main Events as I transition into this next phase of my professional career. I hope my fans will follow me from kickboxing to the sweet science.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Gogokhia is managed by renowned manager, Egis Klimas who added, &#8220;Gogokhia was an exciting kickboxer and I am sure he will be an even more exciting boxer. That is why we are pleased to team up with Main Events as he makes the move from kickboxing to boxing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to Main Events&#8217; Matchmaker and 2015 NABF Matchmaker of the Year Jolene Mizzone, &#8220;After seeing Gogokhia&#8217;s boxing debut on June 11 we were very impressed with his fighting style. He has a come-forward aggressive attack and he throws a lot of punches and dangerous combinations.
