The scores were 118-109, 115-112 and 117-110, all in favor of the 23-year-old Ancajas from Panabo City, Davao del Norte.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ancajas was able to establish his stiff right jab in round one and was able to land hard left hands over the top which marked up Arroyo\u2019s face noticeably. Arroyo was reduced to trying to turn the bout into a brawl, and succeeded briefly in the middle rounds. However, Ancajas\u2019s strength was able to take control of the fight down the stretch, and was punctuated when he sent Arroyo through the ropes in the eighth after a body shot. Ancajas was able to hurt Arroyo again in the ninth round after another series of body punches sent to the defending champion to a knee.<\/p>\n<p>The newly-crowned champion Ancajaras made it clear after the fight who he would like next. \u201cAll the fighters now want to face Roman Gonzalez. So I\u2019ll go with the trend. I also want that fight,\u201d said Ancajas.<\/p>\n<p>Ancajas has now joined IBF flyweight titleholder Johnriel Casimero, WBO junior featherweight titleholder Nonito Donaire, JR. and WBO bantamweight titleholder Marlon Tapales as the only current world titleholders from the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>The number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Roman \u201cChocolatito\u201d Gonzalez, 45-0, 38 KO\u2019s is scheduled to face defending champion Carlos Cuadras, 35-0-1, 27 KO\u2019s for the WBC World Super Flyweight title on September 9th, from the Forum in Inglewood, California. Gonzalez is currently the WBC Flyweight champion, and is seeking to become a four-division world champion.
