Cris “Cyborg” Justino was literally killing herself to get to 140 lbs. to fight in a catchweight bout, the UFC allowed her to fight in their promotion however, since there is no 145 lb. women’s division (Justiono’s weightclass) in the UFC, Justino had to fight in silly catchweight contests.<\/p>\n

The UFC may easily miss this money-earning potential with Cyborg, she has not been defeated since her first loss in her debut, that’s 11 years, 19 fights later. She asked to be fed but no one has legitimately wanted a fight her, she laid waste to her division in both Strikeforce and Invicta FC and if by sheer chance the UFC creates a 145 lb. division for Cyborg, she will most likely clean that and lay waste to it too.<\/p>\n

So fast forward today, Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino wanted to fight in the UFC so badly she was willing to kill herself to get down to 140 lbs, cutting to 145 lbs. is a difficult journey for Justino but it’s doable, cutting to 140 though, is literally suicide. In her current bout alone she had to cut more or less 15 lbs. in 72 hours.<\/p>\n

Justino made weight though, and in her actual fight, it’s as if the brutal weight cut didn’t affect her, she owned Lina Lansberg, who had no chance but to cling to Justino and survive the first round, the second round wasn’t the same though, Justino stepped it up and finished Lansberg via TKO.<\/p>\n

Justino made it clear that she’s in the UFC to stay, even if it’s in a weird arrangement, no title campaigns, no weightclass, just superfights.<\/p>\n

In the post fight interview, Justino said she just wanted super fights to make the fans happy. The UFC doesn’t have a 145-pound division for her, so it’s unclear what her future will be.<\/p>\n

Justino has been lobbying for fights versus Ronda Rousey or the even bigger, Holly Holm, with her performance, she might as well get it, despite the popularity of women’s MMA in the lower classes, Cris “Cyborg” Justino has proven that she’s still the most dominant women fighter in MMA.<\/p>\n
