{"id":63698,"date":"2016-10-05T15:38:13","date_gmt":"2016-10-05T20:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/?p=63698"},"modified":"2016-10-06T02:41:13","modified_gmt":"2016-10-06T07:41:13","slug":"juergen-braehmer-ready-to-give-nathan-cleverly-in-early-2017-breaking-boxing-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/?p=63698","title":{"rendered":"Nathan Cleverly Ready to Give Juergen Braehmer  a Rematch In Early 2017 &#8211; Breaking Boxing News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/?p=63698\" rel=\"http:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/?p=63698\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-63699 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/ringsidereport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/f9391fd7-8cc4-45d8-adaa-bfffc28b16c5-300x230.jpg\" alt=\"f9391fd7-8cc4-45d8-adaa-bfffc28b16c5\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Photo Credit Uwe Koch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Juergen Braehmer (48-3, 35 KOs) says he will be ready to rematch Nathan Cleverly (30-3, 16 KOs) in early 2017 following a positive diagnosis on his injured right arm.<\/p>\n<p>The German southpaw, who celebrates his 38th birthday today, may have lost his WBA World title to Cleverly, but has received good news from the doctors.<\/p>\n<p>His injury has been diagnosed as a minor muscle tear in his right forearm that will not require surgery, which means, following a short break, the former two-time World Champion will be ready for a rematch with Cleverly early next year.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u2018\u2019Fortunately, the injury was not as bad as it first seemed,\u2019\u2019 said Braehmer. \u2018\u2019After a suggested period of rest, I will begin my rehabilitation and will be ready for the rematch as soon as possible.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>In an extremely entertaining contest at the Jahnsportforum in Neubrandenburg, after six-rounds, Braehmer was leading Cleverly by two points on all of the judges scorecards.<\/p>\n<p>Promoter Kalle Sauerland believes Braehmer made the correct decision to retire rather than risk further injury, and is now looking forward to the rematch.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018\u2019That was boxing at it\u2019s best,\u2019\u2019 said Sauerland. \u2018\u2019We had six rounds of great championship action, but sadly, Juergen was unable to continue. It was a tough call to make but absolutely the right decision.
