Caliboso<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to news reports, Brian \u201cPinoy Punch\u201d Viloria, 26-3, 15 KO\u2019s, collapsed after losing his IBF Light Flyweight Title to Columbia\u2019s Carlos \u201cEl Olimpico\u201d Tamara, 21-4, 15 KO\u2019s.\u00a0 At 1:45 in the 12<sup>th<\/sup> and final round, Referee Bruce McTavish stopped the fight.<\/p>\n<p>Local media reports that once Viloria was in the locker room, he collapsed and was immediately rushed to the hospital.\u00a0 There have been no updates to Viloria\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n<p>Going into the bout, Viloria was the favorite.\u00a0 Although raised in Hawaii, Viloria is still considered as part of a strong wave of native Filipino boxers.\u00a0 After a brief period if whether he should remain a boxer, Viloria fought his way back to become the IBF Light Flyweight titleholder.\u00a0 But on this night, Tamara gave Viloria a much needed challenge and defeated him with a TKO in the 12<sup>th<\/sup> round.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to news reports, Viloria started the fight strongly. \u00a0From rounds 1 through 6, Viloria put on a strong attack against Tamara.\u00a0 Viloria attacked from the outside and made strong punches to Tamara\u2019s body once the two fought inside.\u00a0 But Tamara stuck with Viloria.\u00a0 As the fight continued, Tamara worked off an attack with his jab and kept Viloria at bay.\u00a0 Tamara was able to use his jab and set up body-head combinations that took a toll on Viloria.<\/p>\n<p>As the fight continued, Viloria could not keep pace with the strength and amount of Tamara\u2019s punching power.\u00a0 By the middle rounds, Tamara was simply outpacing and outworking Viloria.\u00a0 By rounds 9 and ten, Tamara was punishing Viloria.\u00a0 Viloria remained in the fight but could not match or keep pace with Tamara.\u00a0 Viloria continued to take more of a beating in the 11<sup>th<\/sup> round.\u00a0 Viloria never once got knocked down throughout the fight.\u00a0 It was painfully clear to Referee McTavish that by the 12<sup>th<\/sup> round, he needed to step in and stop the fight.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As the new IBF Light Flyweight titleholder, Tamara now ranks #1 among light flyweights.\u00a0 Viloria now ranks #6 in the weight division.<\/p>\n<p>And, for now, my heartfelt prayers and thoughts go out to Viloria.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ringsidereport.com\/?page_id=5\">Advertise Now On RSR<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.authorhouse.com\/BookStore\/ItemDetail.aspx?bookid=13198\">Purchase Boxing Interviews Of A Lifetime<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=v-X5bF6vIf8\">Watch The Trailer For Family Secret<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Gina L.
