As we head into the May 7th showdown with Shane Mosley, Filipino superstar, Manny \u201cPacMan\u201d Pacquiao, 52-3-2, 38 KO\u2019s, is the heavy favorite and rightfully so. He has been on a hot streak as of late, defeating many notable fighters like Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, and Antonio Margarito. Now, he prepares for another notable in Sugar Shane Mosley, 46-6-1, 39 KO\u2019s, set for May 7th in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/p>\n

Going in, the odds are already heavily favoring a Pacquiao victory. Every casino online <\/a>is taking a lot of Pacquiao money, with his fans hopeful for another victory. So far, he has not let them down and seems to be too fresh and strong for a 38 year old challenger in Mosley. Mosley has his share of supporters that will bet heavily on the old warrior to land that power shot to accomplish the upset win.<\/p>\n

Many bettors wager on the \u201cpuncher\u2019s chance\u201d and Shane certainly has that. When he faced Floyd Mayweather, JR., he was dominated, but did land his right hand early in the fight and it did hurt \u201cMoney Mayweather.\u201d He just wasn\u2019t able to capitalize on it. The hope is to wait for Manny to back up after a burst of punches and catch him on the way out with the overhand right. It\u2019s a long shot, but the masses that are taking the \u201csucker\u2019s bet\u201d will be hoping that the never before stopped Mosley will find lightning in a bottle somewhere within the twelve rounds.<\/p>\n

Being in Vegas, the unofficial home for boxing, where some of the biggest fights in history have taken place, the casinos will be making a great deal of money. Floyd Mayweather, JR., although stating to several sources that he is retired, will be watching on, interested, and when the money and situation is right, we should see him come out and face Pacquiao, should he be victorious.<\/p>\n

If Pacquiao were to lose, Floyd Mayweather, JR., will sit back and claim that since he defeated Mosley with ease, he would have done the same to Manny\u2026winning without fighting. Styles make fights, and Mosley didn\u2019t have the right style or reflexes to give Floyd a fight. Pacquiao is quick and aggressive and would make Floyd work for the victory and Mayweather, JR., typically likes to hold more of the cards. He would be risking his undefeated record against a Pacquiao.<\/p>\n

The Floyd Mayweather, JR., hope should be that Pacquiao wins and that, with Uncle Roger out of legal hot water, he can train appropriately and can meet up with the Filipino powerhouse in what could be the biggest fight in the history of boxing, bringing in the money from around the world. Although there are plenty of obstacles: HBO, Showtime, Blood Testing, Legal Troubles, Money Split, etcetera \u2026 etcetera, with all of the money involved, there has to be room for negotiations across the board, if Floyd finally wants the fight and if Manny doesn\u2019t leave the game.<\/p>\n

On May 8th, if Pacquiao wakes up with another victory under his belt, the plans can be made for a Mayweather, JR., showdown again, and hopefully Floyd will finally give the fans what they want. This is still the biggest fight in boxing.<\/p>\n
