<\/a>By Tyler \u201cThe Miracle Man\u201d White<\/strong><\/p>\nThis past Saturday night was not one for Natasha Jonas and her team to remember, after she was stopped by her Brazilian opponent, Viviane Obenauf, in the 4th round of their contest. With her coach Joe Gallagher throwing in the towel and the referee waving off the fight simultaneously.<\/p>\n
This comes as a major blow to Jonas, who was aiming to get on course and win a world title, whilst also hoping to have a fight in the pro ranks against the very dominant lightweight champion, Katie Taylor, who beat Jonas in the 2012 Olympic Games.<\/p>\n
From the first bell, Jonas looked shocked and overwhelmed by Obenauf\u2019s pressure and rugged style, with the desire to win clear to see in the Brazilian\u2019s face.<\/p>\n
That desire for victory was even clearer to see, when she floored Jonas for the first time and must have sensed a stoppage victory on the way.<\/p>\n
What followed was a dominant display and relentless attack by Obenauf who showed her \u201cMiss GB\u201d opponent no respect, in the way that she went in for the kill.<\/p>\n
For now, Jonas will have to look to re-build herself and come back from this defeat stronger and wiser.<\/p>\n
Her opponent and deserved winner Viviane Obenauf, on the other hand, will look to go on to bigger fights and maybe even a rematch with Katie Taylor, of whom she took the distance in their previous meeting.<\/p>\n
Eddie Hearn\u2019s plans of eventually getting a Taylor Vs Jonas fight in the Pro ranks is looking a lot less likely now, but let\u2019s hope that Jonas can turns things back around, get back on track and back into World title contention!<\/p>\n
