Ken Berry, the beloved musically-talented TV actor of the 1960s and \u201970s who starred in \u201cF Troop,\u201d \u201cMama\u2019s Family\u201d and \u201cMayberry R.F.D.,\u201d died Saturday at the age of 85 from a heart related illness.<\/p>\n

His former wife, actress Jackie Joseph-Lawrence posted the news on Facebook. \u201cF Troop\u201d co-star Larry Storch wrote on Facebook, \u201cWe hope you know how much you were loved. Goodnight Captain.\u201d<\/p>\n

Berry played the hilarious Captain Parmenter on Western sitcom \u201cF Troop\u201d for two years in the mid-1960s.<\/p>\n

Years later on Mama\u2019s Family,\u201d he played Vinton Harper on the \u201cCarol Burnett Show\u201d spinoff, which starred Vicki Lawrence, Rue McClanahan and Betty White. The sitcom ran two seasons on NBC in 1983 and 1984, and two years later was revived in syndication, where it was a hit and ran until 1990.<\/p>\n
