\"\"<\/a>Carshalton\u2019s Ricky Boylan returned to the Ultrachem TKO Gym in Canning Town this week in order to prepare for his upcoming showdown against Kristian Laight, on the Steve Goodwin promoted \u2018Essex Eruption\u2019 quadruple headline show at the Goresbrook Leisure Centre in Dagenham, Essex on Saturday 19th March 2011.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Essex Eruption\u2019 event should have been the second outing of the year for the former London ABA finalist, who had been due to fight Craig Dyer at York Hall on the 20th February but due to a family crisis had to withdraw.<\/p>\n

Following a training session at the Ultrachem TKO Boxing Gym in Canning Town Ricky explained why he withdrew from the February show, \u201cBasically I had a little niggling injury I was working through in the gym but then my Dad had a stroke that week, so I didn\u2019t want to get in the ring in the wrong frame of mind and then get a silly loss, it\u2019s not worth it, so Johnny (Eames) pulled me out.<\/p>\n

My Dad\u2019s getting on, he\u2019s doing well. He\u2019s getting much better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ricky then went on to talk about his upcoming fight with Kristian Laight on March 19th, \u00f4I\u2019ve been training hard, I come back properly on Monday, I\u2019ve still been ticking over but from Monday I\u2019ve been doing it one hundred percent.<\/p>\n

Kristian Laight, he\u2019s massive, truly massive. He\u2019s a tall southpaw so I\u2019ll have to put the pressure on, let plenty of right hands go and hopefully come away with another win.<\/p>\n

I always get good sparring here, but for this fight there\u2019s a couple of people really for it, you know tall southpaws. There\u2019s a guy from my area called Tony Owen. I\u2019ve done a few rounds with him recently. Probably do some rounds with Bradley Skeete. There\u2019s Freddie Turner up here obviously, just whoever Johnny thinks will give me the right sparring for the fight really. Whoever he gets me to spar I\u2019ll be happy to spar them.<\/p>\n

This should be my fourth fight but it\u2019s going to be the second. To be honest the first one on the George Groves show that wasn\u2019t anyone’s fault, that was just Hayemaker boxing. The second one I boxed on that one, and won. The third one, well that couldn\u2019t be helped, because of my Dad. Hopefully the fourth one on the the 19th will be OK and be my second actual fight.\u00f6<\/p>\n

\u2018Pretty\u2019 Ricky Boylan versus Kristian Laight will be at the Steve Goodwin promoted \u2018Essex Eruption\u2019 Goresbrook Leisure Centre in Dagenham, Essex on Saturday 19th March 2011.<\/p>\n

\u2018Essex Eruption\u2019 is co-headlined by International Masters Light Middleweight champion Yassine \u2018The Showman\u2019 El Maachi against a yet to be named opponent, Southern Area Cruiserweight champion Leon \u2018Solid\u2019 Williams versus David Vicena, British Master challenger \u2018Phat\u2019 Pat McAleese faces Franz Vicena and Romford\u2019s top ten rated Cruiserweight Tony \u2018The Conqueror\u2019 Conquest against a yet to be named opponent.<\/p>\n

In addition to Ricky Boylan versus Kristian Laight the undercard of the quadruple headlined super show includes a whole host local talent including Ricky\u2019s Ultrachem TKO team mates Daniel Herdman, who faces Kevin McCauley, and the highly rated unbeaten Featherweight prospect \u2018Saint\u2019 George Jupp against a yet to be named opponent.<\/p>\n

Michael \u2018The Zambezi Hitman\u2019 Norgrove will be looking to extend his unbeaten record to five when he faces Czech Republic\u2019s Jan Balog. Another fighter who will be looking to increase his unbeaten record is Biggleswade\u2019s Jamie Boness.<\/p>\n

Middleweight Kris Agyei-Dua and Danny Brown will be making their second outing in a Month, after both securing wins on their debuts at York Hall on February 20th.<\/p>\n

Further fights are expected to be announced shortly to bring the \u2018Essex Eruption\u2019 card to fourteen bouts.<\/p>\n
