It gets you high without having to put anything in your body, and that\u2019s just awesome.\u201d\u2014Tori Welles<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Any hot blooded male who watched Adult Movies back in the late 1980s \u2013 1990s no doubt saw the work of Adult Movie legend, Tori Welles. She lit up the screen in every scene she was featured in, especially in a 1989 movie she starred in called\u00a0\u201cTHE CHAMELEON\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Finding Tori was not easy at first, but when I was finally able to contact her, it reminded me of a boxing interview I did back in 2000 for my book, \u201cBoxing Interviews Of A Lifetime,\u201d with former five time world title challenger Yaqui Lopez.<\/p>\n<p>Like Tori, Yaqui was a fan favorite, and a name that the readers really wanted to hear from. So when I was able to land both interviews, I knew we would be able to do something special when the tape rolled.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I found a lady with a great sense of humor, who though she is a legendary performer, just wants to be Tori Welles, living the American dream. In my research for this interview, I found an outstanding interview Tori did with one of my colleagues, John Parker, with Legendary Rock Interviews.com. In it, Tori held nothing back which is something I respect very much. In life, people seem to be so full of shit, especially about themselves.<\/p>\n<p>At 45 years of age, something Tori doesn\u2019t hide and wears as a badge of an honor, I can tell you without any doubt, the one thing she is most proud of is and happens to be harder than any movie she shot, any 9 -5 job she has held and that is, being a mom.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #cc99ff;\"><em><strong>Ladies and gentlemen, Ms. Tori Welles\u2026.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: Where did you grow up?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>San Fernando Valley. In the Los Angeles area most of my life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: You are without doubt, one of the ladies who are Porn Royalty to the many fans out there that followed your work over the years in Adult Movies. Do you have one story about any fan you ever met during your heyday that to this day, you still recall vividly?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know about that. I met so many people back then. It\u2019s such a trip when I think back. I mean I had a couple little flings out on the road when I was feature dancing, but mostly I would hang out with the crew and staff from different places. I was a party girl. I kept to myself and very small circle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: I personally think one of the best Adult Movies ever made was the 1989 film \u201cTHE CHAMELEON\u201d. I can remember the buzz about this movie and your sexual prowess in it. What are your recollections of shooting the film and do you feel as many of your fans do, it was your finest work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finest work\u2026 (Big laugh) That\u2019s funny, its porn, and I just showed up and did my job. It was the director John Leslie that put all the people in those scenes and just let us go. I think he knew who had chemistry and would\u00a0give him what he wanted. I had a lot of fun on that set. Seriously, I was trying to think what my favorite one was and they all had a special little something for me in it. At least I remember being at that set\u2026and that\u2019s saying something! (Big laugh)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What made you want to get into Adult Movies and how did you actually do it once you decided you wanted to?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t really decide anything. It just happened. I was a dancer in Hollywood at the time at The Seventh Veil. I hooked up with the bass guitar player from XYZ, who was connected to Jeanna Fine and Paul Norman somehow. I did my first movie for Paul Norman a few months later\u2026.crazy. I never plan very well. (Big laugh)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: You currently work for RS Adventures doing Business Development. How did you get into this field and what does a normal day consist of?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I met the owner last year actually when I was at a novelty show for a company I worked for. We started talking and stayed in touch, a few months later he offered me a job. I am working from home right now. I made the room in the back of my house into an office, imagine me in front of a computer all day. It\u2019s all very exciting.(JKG) When he is in town, it\u2019s lots of meetings and lots of dinners. We will be at the AVN\u2019s in January &#8211; that should be interesting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NB: How has the Adult Movie industry in your opinion changed from when you first got into it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s huge now. It is what it is. Like everything else in this world, it\u2019s saturated and redundant. I think like most people, we all like things from \u201cback in our day\u201d, am I right? It\u2019s just the next chapter. It\u2019s changed because it had to. I think it\u2019s way crazier. The stuff the girls do now is nuts. I probably would have never made a name in today&#8217;s age of porn because even if I could (which I can\u2019t) fit a fist in me I would have never let them show it on video. No offense to all of you who can and do.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What are your words of wisdom the young man or woman who would like to break into the Adult Movie industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t do it\u2026.Run far far away.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: Now that they passed Measure B, what do you think it is going to do to the Adult Movie industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I really can\u2019t even begin to predict. I know for sure that porn is not going anywhere. How and where they shoot might change, but we have always been somewhat of a renegade industry that usually figures out a way backstage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: Have you ever done any mainstream movies and if so, what were they?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I played a sexy cop in a dirt bike movie a friend was shooting called \u201cFRESNO SMOOTH\u201d and a lady in the market of \u201cTHE ICE CREAM MAN\u201d a horror film my ex-husband shot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What is the funniest moment you ever had while shooting one of your movies?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t have one of those. Blooper moments on a porn set are more gross than funny, and cum in the eye just hurts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What is the one stereotype that has been around your industry and you would like to shatter?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>None\u2026They\u2019re mostly right. Like any business there is good and bad. This industry is like magnet for people who are not conformists and like to push the envelope. A lot of nice people and some not so nice, some fucked up in head, users, abusers and the list goes on and a lot of the stereotypes are right. I don\u2019t need to shatter them for anyone, but myself. I do that every day with people who really know me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: IMDB said that in 2007, you were working as a hair stylist. If this is correct, do you still do hair on the side?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I am\/was and yes, I do it on the side, but mainly friends and family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What honor that has been bestowed on you, are you most proud of?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mother. I have three gorgeous loving, kind and sweet boys.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: When you were still shooting movies, if you could have had one male and female actress from that time in your movie, who would they be and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t even remember who was around back then, plus my taste isn\u2019t very mainstream. I\u00a0would&#8217;ve\u00a0had people like Exene Cervenka from the band X and Nick Cave from The Badseeds\u2026that would be hot!<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What is your favorite word?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shenanigans<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What is your least favorite word?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vagina. I just hate even writing it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: When you received your first real paycheck from your movies, what did you buy?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wow\u2026so embarrassing. I actually went to the Gap on Santa Monica Blvd. and went crazy, I thought I was so cool. (Big laugh). I didn\u2019t even really like their stuff, but I could never afford to go there before really, so I did.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: What is the one question you have never been asked, but wish that you were?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Have you ever really been in love? I don\u2019t know why people don\u2019t think to ask porn girls that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BB: The floor is yours\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, yes, yes\u2026 I love being in love. Oooh that is not fair because my moods change so much and I think it\u2019s an impossible decision. For right this second it would be \u201cZEITGEIST\u201d the movie, it keeps it all in perspective and real.
