<\/a>By “Bad” Brad Berkwitt<\/strong><\/p>\nKen Osmond the beloved actor who was known around the world as the troublemaker Eddie Haskell on the television comedy \u201cLeave It to Beaver,\u201d died on Monday morning. He was 76.<\/p>\n
Osmond died at his Los Angeles home surrounded by family members. The cause of death is unknown.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was an incredibly kind and wonderful father,\u201d Osmond\u2019s son Eric said in a statement. \u201cHe had his family gathered around him when he passed. He was loved and will be very missed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Henry Lane, Osmond\u2019s former partner at the Los Angeles Police Department, also confirmed the news and said he had suffered from respiratory issues.<\/p>\n
After \u201cLeave It to Beaver\u201d finished its run in 1963, Osmond returned for the telefilm \u201cStill the Beaver\u201d in 1983 and for the revival series \u201cThe New Leave It to Beaver.\u201d His sons on the series were played by his real-life sons Eric and Christian. He returned to the role a final time in 1997\u2019s feature film \u201cLeave It to Beaver.\u201d<\/p>\n
I so fondly remember watching Leave It To Beaver in syndication when I lived with my Italian Nona in Pontiac Michigan in the early 80’s. It was such a sweet show that ended with a message always.<\/p>\n
