Former British Heavyweight Contender Henry Cooper Passes Away

Former British heavyweight contender Sir Henry Cooper has passed away at the age of 76. He is best known for knocking down a young Muhammad Ali in a 1963 bout.

Ali was in serious trouble and his trainer Angelo Dundee created a delay giving Ali extra time to recover and Ali eventually won on cuts. Overall Cooper had a record of 40-14-1, 27 KO’s, and held British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight titles.
