Casey Anthony: THE RELEASE – LIFE AFTER CAYLEE

By Geno McGahee

Tomorrow Casey Anthony will walk out of jail a free woman, but this new chapter of her life has just begun. Her journey thus far has been under the public eye and the release is one of relief for some that see her as a victim of her molester father, while others are furious over a killer being free.

The loss of Caylee Anthony, a 2 year old child, has hit close to home for many. Anyone that has a child can’t imagine a mother killing their child and that is why the reaction has been so strong. It was the death of innocence and the thought of Casey Anthony, a 25 year old mother, killed her to party and have her freedom back was terrible, and those that subscribed to that theory would have liked to see her get the death penalty.

The jury didn’t see Casey as a person that killed Caylee in cold blood. The idea of an accidental death, a drowning, is an easier thought to live with, and for the psyche of Casey, let’s hope that it is that. No matter what the verdict, if Casey did kill her daughter, she will have to live with that and that can and will destroy a person. Even if it was as the Defense said, an accidental drowning, the negligence will eat away at her.

Casey was painted as a victim by the Defense, called a killer by the Prosecution, and has been the target of a lynch mob, a crazed mob ready to attack Casey and do harm if they get a chance. There are persistent rumors that she will not be allowed home, although George Anthony has stated that he has never expressed that feeling, but considering what was said about him, it would not be surprising if he didn’t allow Casey back, especially if he is innocent. There aren’t many worse accusations then molestation.

Where will Casey go? What will her family life be like? What will her life without Caylee be like? Whatever it is, it will be in the public eye. The Casey Anthony story continues…
