When Theophane fought earlier this year against Lenny Daws, he brought in the kitchen sink to the ring, totally thrashing his opponent and became victorious and took the British Crown from him.

This time things are looking challenging again, now with a veteran Jason Cook. Experienced of fifteen years, Cook, is from Wales and nicknamed “The Power.”

As an amateur, Cook won a Silver Medal for Wales at the 1994 Commonwealth Games. As a professional, he has fought as a lightweight, and has won both the European and IBO championships at the weight. He currently campaigns at Light-Welterweight, and fights out of Fight Academy Wales gym in Llanharan, South Wales under the guidance of professional coach Darren Wilson.

Cook, 28-3-1, 14 KO’s, is well admired however in 2001 he found guilty of credit card fraud whilst working as a postman and was jailed for 15 months. He made a challenge for British Light-Welterweight Title on the 12th of February 2010 and it ended in a draw and his performance moved him up the European and Commonwealth Light-Welterweight rankings.

Theophane told BritishBoxers.co.uk “Domestically I am the best 140lbs fighter. No other domestic fighter has achieved what I have so far. My goal has always been the World stage. I have three fights to win the Lonsdale belt then I’ve no interest in fighting British fighters.”

Tomorrow this fight is a co-feature Ashley Theophane v Jason Cook at the “Big Brawl” in Wembley Arena London.

This card features undefeated Londoner, Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora’s, 14-0, 9 KO’s, defense of his British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles against Manchester’s undefeated Tyson Fury, 14-0, 10 KO’s, in the 12 round main event.

The weigh in results are for the British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship:

The weigh in results for the British Light Welterweight Championship for

Ashley Theophane was 138.25lbs and Jason Cook was 139.75lbs
