Casey Anthony: A NEW CHARGE & THE PUNISHMENT

By Geno McGahee

The legal system is not through with Casey Anthony yet. She will be required to serve a year probation for a check fraud case. The Florida Department of Corrections spokeswoman, Jo Ellyn Rackleff noted that “We haven’t determined exactly when or where but it will be within 72 hours,” in reference of the probation.

Casey pleaded guilty in January of 2010 to check fraud, after purchasing items, using her friend’s checking account. The purchases were made after the death of young Caylee, which raised some red flags for many. Many still point at her behavior when her child was missing as proof that she had something to hide and was involved in the murder/accidental death of her 2 year old child.

Casey Anthony has been in the news consistently since her arrest, and this wrap up of one of her brushes with the law won’t affect her too much. She is still weighing her options and expect something from her in the weeks and months to come. With all the deals on the table, she will eventually take one, and make a great deal of money in the process.
