SPIDERMAN Star Cliff Robertson DEAD at 88: THE INSIDE STORY

Oscar winning actor Cliff Robertson, who won rave reviews playing Uncle Ben in SPIDERMAN has died at the age of 88 of natural causes only one day after his birthday.

Robertson, a very talented actor saw a movie career that lasted over 50 years in film, TV, Broadway shows and commercials. In 1968, he played a mentally disabled man in the film CHARLY which would garner him an Oscar.

In the early 60’s, he played in a great episode of Rod Serling’s Twilight Zone where he was a ventriloquist in an episode called THE DUMMY.

In later years, this same episode seemed to be used for the movie MAGIC starring Anthony Hopkins. Make sure to check out the Twilight Zone episode with Robertson, it will not disappoint.
