Floyd Mayweather JR: REMATCH With Victor Ortiz will Lead to Oscar De La Hoya Return

The war of words between two of boxing’s biggest names, Floyd Mayweather, JR., and Oscar De La Hoya is very public and it may be enough to lead to a second encounter with Victor Ortiz, but also may lead to another improbable showdown with Floyd and the Golden Boy.

Oscar De La Hoya stated on Twitter: “It’s so sad Mayweather has to bash people and flaunt money he’s not going to [have] when he retires. Give Ortiz a rematch. Try beat him fair…and then maybe, just maybe, I will give you another chance at me.”

It is very unlikely that De La Hoya would return to the ring, but with his problems behind him and Floyd getting up there in years, he just may, if he gets what he wants and Ortiz gets another crack.
