Jon Jones Vs Rashad Evans BAD BLOOD: UFC NEWS

By Geno McGahee

The recent defeat of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 135 via submission has reinforced the opinion of many that consider Jon Jones an unstoppable force in MMA. The next man standing in the way of Jones is Rashad Evans, a man that showed up at UFC 135 for a prefight stare down to hype their upcoming collision that is set sometime in early 2012.

The two men are not strangers. They are actually former sparring partners and friends and they will be familiar with the way that they battle when they square off in the octagon early on next year.

Evans has been waiting patiently for another crack at the light heavyweight title and is hoping that everything goes as planned and that he will be facing off against his old friend in one of the most highly anticipated showdowns the UFC has had in some time.

The supposed bad blood has already begun with Jones saying that Evans “ruined his moment” after the Rampage win, and with Evans claiming to have “Jones’ number” going into the fight. As the time passes and we get close to the event, expect the hype to build and for Jones to have his hands full in an interesting and competitive battle.
