Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather, JR is a Done Deal Stirs Up the Boxing World

By “Bad” Brad Berkwitt

Last month RSR broke a news story that was given to us by our inside source over at Team Mayweather that the fight was a “Done Deal” with signatures only needed on the contract. Our story was picked up by many news sources and was the talk of message boards around the world. It was great to see the boxing world abuzz because it’s badly needed. Well, with all the exposure coming from that article, we actually were contacted this past weekend by an entirely different source from Team Mayweather whose credentials from all the research RSR did checked out.

Our source confirmed that in fact, both Oscar De La Hoya and Bob Arum read the RSR article we broke last month and it had them enjoying the fact that it got them equal major media exposure to hype this fight up even more. In addition, it had been reported that the fight was a “Done Deal” with signatures only needed, but when the RSR story hit the internet, both promoters wanted to sit back and let this thing even fester some more allowing each to have a better chip at the negotiating table because they knew in turn, it would bring more dollars to the revenue projected for a fight that made all parties involved a ton of money. Smart move for sure and when they both (Arum and De La Hoya) went silent shortly after RSR’s story broke, you could tell they were reading which backs up our latest inside source. RSR put calls into Top Rank for a comment, but at press time, no phone calls were returned.

“From all accounts that I have personally heard, the fight will still go off on November 13th and happen at a yet to be determined site in Vegas”, said our source.

Anyway you cut it, this is the biggest fight Boxing can offer and it needs to be signed, sealed and delivered on November 13th.

RSR will continue to bring you up to date breaking news, so keep checking back often.
