Top rated heavyweight Tomasz Adamek, 43-1, 28 KO’s, had no problem controlling the overmatched brawler, Vinny Maddalone, 33-7, 24 KO’s, using his superior skill to pummel him, dropping him in the fifth round and ending the fight when the Maddalone corner had seen enough.
Adamek continues to keep busy and looked very sharp with his combinations and timing. He did what a fighter of his caliber should do to a fighter like Maddalone. He beat him up for a few rounds and then got rid of him. Vitali Klitschko, the WBC Champion is now in the wings for Adamek, a fight that interests most heavyweight boxing fans and a fight that will tell us a great deal more about Adamek the heavyweight.
