Timothy Bradley – Devon Alexander Shocking Results: Manny Pacquiao called out

By Geno McGahee

Timothy Bradley, 27-0, 11 KO’s, fought an even fight with Devon Alexander, 21-1, 13 KO’s, but a series of head butts ended the fight when Alexander couldn’t continue after a devastating butt landed on the left side of his face. Alexander screamed in pain and said he couldn’t see and that his eyes were burning. The doctor called the fight and the bout went to the cards.

Bradley took the UD by scores of 97-93, 98-93, and 96-95, picking up the unified title (WBC/WBO Light Welterweight). Bradley did very well pressuring Alexander and not allowing him to get off, but Alexander found his groove and began landing shots and controlling the smaller man from the outside. In the 10th round, it was called and it could have gone either way, but the pressure was the difference, and Bradley now looks forward to taking on Amir Khan, Marcos Maidana, or even Manny Pacquiao.
