Dwayne Johnson: The Rock Headed to Wrestlemania

Monday night on RAW, the pro-wrestler known as “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson returned to a roaring ovation. The Rock is a part of the “Attitude” generation having memorable bouts with Stone Cold Steve Austin and HHH. His celebrity in the WWE has led him to a successful run as a movie star, prompting him to leave his wrestling behind, but the money was right and he has returned.
Vince McMahon, always known for bringing his A game to Wrestlemania, the biggest night in pro wrestling has recruited “The Rock” as the host, but the true reason behind his return is for a headlining bout against fan favorite, John Cena. Cena vs. The Rock is as much of a sale as The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan was so many years ago. McMahon’s WWE may not have the star power it once did, but with the return of Johnson, he will make headlines again, as he did with the use of boxers like Floyd Mayweather, JR., and Mike Tyson.
Expect “The Rock” to get into some scuffles with Cena, leading to a signing of the bout and a boatload of hype as the bout happens at Wrestlemania.
