By Kevin Nelson

This week’s edition of RAW took place in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with no clear number one contender in the WWE to the Miz’s title.

So the telecast began with John Cena, Randy Orton, R truth, John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler all claiming to be the number one contender when drum roll please the anonymous RAW GM announced a five man gauntlet match in which two superstars will meet and the winner will fight again until the superstars have all fought. The one left standing is the winner and the new WWE number one contender.

Next was the WWE Divas Champ Eve facing Brie Bella. As the match progressed, the twin magic was pulled again as Brie Bella picked up the win and the WWE Divas Title.

The next match was Sin Cara facing Primo. Cara showed some amazing ability, but failed to deliver a number of moves. Vince McMahon is reportedly none too pleased with Sin Cara’s performance in the ring. Sin Cara would get the victory.

Next was the new group formed by Santino Marella called “the Apple,” consisting of Evan Bourne, Mark Henry, and Daniel Bryan. The Corre would defeat them.

The next match was Jerry “The King” Lawler facing Jack Swagger with the stipulation that if the King would win, he would face Michael Cole at Extreme Rules and choose the stipulation. He would defeat Swagger by being inadvertently distracted by Cole, giving Lawler the chance to roll him up for the pin.

Afterwards Cole would slap Swagger and the King would announce that the match would be a tag team event with Lawler and good ole Jim Ross facing Swagger and Cole at Extreme Rules Pay Per View. Next was the surprising retirement of Edge as we all are going to miss him. My fondest memories are of him and Christian being tag team champs and how funny they were as entertainers.

The main event was up next and the first match being Randy Orton facing Dolph Ziggler. CM Punk would distract Orton, but Orton would get the pin. Afterwards, members of Nexus would take turns beating Orton. Next was R Truth facing Ziggler and getting the victory. The next match was R Truth defeating John Morrison.
