Jameis Winston Cleared?

Has Jameis Winston been cleared of violations of the Code of Conduct as set forth by Florida State University? A tweet by his attorney suggests that this may indeed be the case. David Cornwell, Winston’s attorney, tweeted this message a little over an hour ago:

“In sum, the preponderance of the evidence has not shown that you are responsible for ANY of the charged violations of the Code.”

Cornwell confirmed that the statement arose from the ruling of Justice Major Harding, the third party hearer of the Code of Conduct case.

The accuser has the right to an appeal of this decision based on criteria set forth by the University, and such appeal must be submitted within 5 school days of the ruling.
