Gennady “GGG” Golovkin – Floyd Mayweather, JR: Super Fight Coming in 2017? – Breaking Boxing News
By “Bad” Brad Berkwitt
Over the last few days, the internet and Facebook have been buzzing about talk of a Floyd Mayweather, JR. comeback for fight number 50 against Gennady “GGG” Golovkin in 2017 in what would be a “Super Fight”. This topic has invoked buzz on Facebook from both sides, with love and hate comments, along with excitement, with even a mention of a possibility of this fight being made.
Here’s a novel concept to the Floyd Mayweather, JR. camp and a quote right from the “Book Of Floyd”. “If it makes dollars, it makes sense”! No doubt it will make money. In a fight that is probably 50-50 from the fans on who will win, it’s a win – win for both fighters.
Memo to Floyd….This is one time, where I am sure the boxing fans wouldn’t have an issue with a catchweight fight.
Memo to Gennady… The money and the respect you would earn fighting Floyd is worth giving up those belts which mean nothing today next to a W against a Ring Legend like Floyd Mayweather, JR.
Only time will tell, but if Floyd takes the fight and wins, the boxing fans who detest him, if they want to be fair, have to give him big respect for beating Golovkin.
RSR will be one media source that will in fact, be fair in props to Floyd Mayweather, JR. should he take this fight and win it…
