CM Punk, John Cena & the Miz get RAW: The Aftermath
Last Monday’s edition of RAW took place in Portland, Oregon, one night after the Over the Limit PPV. The night started out with the excellence of execution Bret Hart explaining why he showed up at the kiss my feet match at the pay per view.
As he was explaining, he was interrupted by R Truth as he continued his heel role, complaining about the fans and how he deserves a chance at the title. While he was explaining John Cena tried to reason with his old friend R Truth, but he would have none of it and told Cena that he never liked him. The anonymous RAW GM announced the main event with Rey Mysterio and John Cena facing R Truth and CM Punk with Bret Hart as the special guest referee.
The following was a tag team match featuring the twin towers Big Show and Kane facing Mike Mcgillicuddy and David Otunga. The tag team titles were on the line as the big show and Kane would lose the titles with help from Mason Ryan and Cm Punk as Otunga and McGillicuddy would defeat the twin towers.
As the Big Show was walking out, Alberto Del Rio rubbed his defeat in his face as Big show would chase Del Rio out Ricardo Rodriguez would accidentally run over the giant’s foot.
The next match was Jack Swagger facing Evan Bourne as the former All American would get the victory. While doing a victory lap, Bourne would knock Swagger out of the ring. What would occur next would be surprising as Michael Cole would issue an apology to Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler and promised a more professional attitude and ending the Cole mine era.
Next was The Miz as we learned that he lost again to John Cena. He went on a tirade and berated and blamed his assistant Alex Riley for all his recent troubles. If that wasn’t enough, Miz would slap Riley in the face and after months of being abused verbally Riley, would snap and unleash a beat down of the former champ.
The following match was an 8 team matchup featuring Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix, Eve, and Gail Kim would face Bella Twins, Maryse and Melina.
Kharma’s music dropped she would enter the ring and crawl in a fetal position crying as she would have a meltdown as the match was called a no contest. The next match was Koffi Kingston the US Champion facing Drew McIntyre. Kingston would be victorious.
The main event featured John Cena and Rey Mysterio facing Cm Punk and R Truth and the match went back and forth.
Mysterio was able to hit the 619 and Hart, fed up with Punk would belt him and lock on a sharpshooter. Mysterio would go in for the pin and gain the victory.
