After an intense preparation lasting seven weeks in his family’s gym in Los Mochis, the three time world champion, Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel, reported himself to be ready to reappear this June 25 in the capital of Sinaloa. Today he’ll travel with his workout team to Culiacan. Montiel (44-3-2, 34 KOs) ended the intense phase of his training in the gym of the “Cochules” directed by his father, Manuel Montiel, and reported ready to return to ring in the Banorte Stadium in Culiacán, where he will face former world champion Nehomar Cermeno (20-3, 12 KOs) in a 10-round bout scheduled for super bantamweight. Montiel, a former world fly, super fly and bantamweight champion arrives today in Culiacan, where he will serve promotional commitments during the coming week.
